I'm looking to sell my bass guitar. Currenty doing research to see what it is worth as I don't want to be ripped off.
Located in Washington state, Bellingham area. Can deliver to Seattle area, even Portland for gas money. Can also deliver to Vancouver BC Canada or ship it.

I hate to the one to say it, but you're probably not going to get any collector, serious or otherwise, to pay much for it. The body has been highly modified, non original nut, no finish on it, pick guard modified, I'm not sure about the tuners, wrong strap buttons. Bridge cover is missing. Was it re fretted?

I'm guessing a 65 or earlier, as it has the smooth knobs, which are very cool. Without changing the body to an original untouched one, and restoring it, I don't see any collector value, probably worth more in parts. Sorry to say, best of luck.

I have no idea what has been replaced or original. What you see is what I bought, history unknown.

I'm a drummer not a bass player.


Where would I start to restore it, what are my chances of finding a original body?

Maybe someone broke the neck on theirs and between the two we could compete a beautiful Ventures bass.

If anyone has a source for parts let me know. I can swap out this body, I have the money to restore it.

I can sell you the original string guide and strap buttons. From time to time a bass body will show up on Ebay. The bass cases are pretty easy to come by as well.

I will keep those parts in mind. It would be best for me to wait and see what if anything comes with a body I might find in the future. Then I could search for the small parts needed.

If I cannot find a body I might do this with it, then hang on my wall.
