Billy Boy Guitars

Postby pigihangeev » Sat Mar 20, 2010 4:54 am

Hi all!
Has anyone ever heard about this Italian new brand?
I dig that vibrato tailpiece, very eccentric:

He got a myspace page and there you can see more images of his guitars:

To me it looks a bit 'Rickenbackeresque' with a skull-motif tailpiece to boot; the strings are retained where 6 front teeth used to sit

You said it, gplayer. I'm looking at some more of their designs and they are downright repulsive. I dig that!

I like it. I'd take that in a 12 string version. I'll bet that Jack White would love beating the crap out of that one.

...it looks like a rickenbacker that fell down the stairs and was repaired by ray charles, but hey that's just me ;)

 Hey Aaron, ...not just you ;)
Back in the sixties our country was proud to have a very popular piano player/composer who also sang as he played. He suffered from the same affliction as Ray and wore dark glasses too.
The joke went around as follows: You would pose the question to somebody at random: "Did you see J. de Korte's new piano yet?" ten times out of ten the answer would be "no" and then you would retort: "nor did he..."

OK, OK, I'm off, before someone attacks me now... :? ...
