Thanks, Scott! I lived in Cardiff By The Sea for 6 months and know Solano Beach very well. So sorry you lost a friend. That's a tough one. I'm staring at a center block Epiphone Dot with a missing headstock that I think I can turn into something, different. ;) We'll see!

I've been trying to incorporate Edsel trim/emblems into an Edsel themed guitar for years, (if you've seen the '57 Chevy guitar you know what I mean)...but haven't settled on a body style yet. Kinda want to use a Fender Musiclander/Arrow body which might work best with the Edsel side trim. Oh well, one 'o these days......

That would be cool. I've seen the 57 Chevy version. I think Dolly Pardon has one.

I'm thinking I'd like to make a guitar like the one below but with the Gibby headstock shape on both ends.
