As promised, here are the latest pics. I woke this morning with the nagging need for a design review. I just didn't care for how much the trunk was open. So, I made a new switch mounting box that is 1/4" shorter out of aluminum square tubing. I think I will also look for a shorter spring and that will allow it to close a little further. I'm happy with the travel of the trunk. To actuate the pedal the trunk closes all the way down.
This is a prototype. The ones I offer for sale will have an acrylic bottom that will raise the tires off of the ground or pedal board.
To recap, this is an Overdrive pedal. The pots/knobs are the wheel axles and tires. So, the left front tire is how you adjust the "Level", the right front tire is how you adjust the "Drive" and the right rear tire is how you adjust the "Tone". The left rear tire is also a pot but it is not live.
I've purchased the domain name,
http://www.GearHeadPedals.com. It will go live once I've created an array of offerings. The next project will be to make a Fuzz pedal from a Highway Patrol car.
Here is a shot of the front. This is where you plug in your One Spot or similar devise. Under the hood is a connection for a 9 Volt battery if someone chooses that method of power.
Nope, that is not a keg in the trunk, it is the footswitch and return spring.
With the doors open.
And on the pedal board to give you an idea of scale.
Next up is "The Fuzz". This will be a circuit copy of the Mosrite FuzzRite all stuffed in the Highway Patrol car.
I'll try to record a video of the Mercury Overdrive and post that next.
