Jon, you have a great memory! I sang that at the office one day and spent the next hour explaining what Idlewild was, who Khrushchev was, and so on.

Young folks today aren't as knowledgeable about older culture as my generation was, I don't think. I never heard the classic radio shows when I was a kid, but I had read about them and could say that Fibber Magee and Molly lived on Wistful Vista or the Green Hornet's car was named Black Beauty.

Oh, well. Several of my staff at the college-- all with at least BAs-- had never heard of John Wayne, Cary Grant, or Bob Hope!

I think they have new show airing in the spring, "Leave It To Bieber" and "Lady Gaga and the Tramp". ;)
