Cool Gretsch Firebird! Could the wooden bridge be an indication that it is a hollow body guitar?

Fabulous guitar. That is in great shape for a 56 year old! Sound-wise, to what does it compare?

It is indeed hollow inside but that bridge is not the correct one. I have since picked up a vintage melita so it's all now correct. The pickups sound great, a little warmer than the ones on my Billy Zoom jet. I love the old DeArmonds. One of the reasons it's been so well preserved is because it's one of 3 known to exist with a clear coat on top of the red finish.
