Okay, I can't quit, I admit it... Snagged some nice teak, and a little bit of figured walnut... Here's what is emerging from all the woodchips:
I'm getting anxious to see that figure all shined up, with a couple coats of tung oil!

very nice! so - volume, tone, output and four mini switches? What do you have planned - coil-tapped humbuckers, or something else?

You've got it pretty much nailed! It will be sporting either EMG Hz, or Seymour P-90's with coil taps. I really like the EMG's on my previous build, but the Seymours have been begging for a home lately too... Decisions, decisions! Guess if that's my biggest problem, things are going pretty good!

Re: Another Offset project
My favorite guitar sound on this planet is a Les Paul Jr. cranked through a Pro Reverb also cranked. It's beautiful; so I say go P-90's GO! Your new offset build needs some muscular boxer pickups to Offset the classy look you'll surely have.

Re: Another Offset project
Here's a project update. I have sanded the wood down to 600 grit, and today applied the first coat of oil... After this, hours and hours of wet-sanding into the oil with 1000 wet-and-dry.
Before oil...
Oil still wet...an indicator of the type of shine I'll get one day...
And some closeups!
...and one last full-length...
