Seafoam Green 12 String Tele Build.

Here is the finished Seafoam Green tele, color courtesy of Dubtrub.

The kit came with black dot markers, that I replaced with Abalone, I added Abalone topped control knobs. Hand made truss rod cover, I changed the chrome tuner buttons for pearloid, LOOKING FOR ABALONE. Standard electronics to be replaced with similar vintage Tele Style, better quality.

1 Genuine Switchcraft 1/4 in. input jack WDE12
1 OAK 3 way lever switch WDE3
1 .001 Sprague Orange Drop capacitor (.001 SPRAGUE)
1 .047 Sprague Orange Drop capacitor (.047 SPRAGUE)
2 ft. Gavitt vintage black cloth wire (CABLE CLOTH WIRE BLACK)
2 CTS 250K audio taper pots 10% tolerance (CTS250)

I purchased a Genuine Fender tweed hardshell case for my build. IT DIDN'T FIT, the axe is too long. I had to separate the lining from the case, and remove some of the Styrofoam padding, then re-glue the lining. It was about 1/2" too short. Now it fits fine. I contacted the seller, they said, WELL IT'S NOT A FENDER, "TOUCHE". I wrote back, that maybe they should note that in their sales description. Both of my kit built Fender copies, have the same issue ? Would 1/2" either way for the kit or the case have hurt anyone ?
They sell look a like tweed cases, that are longer ! BUT NO I NEEDED A 'FENDER' CASE. The first case I bought for my 53 Telecaster was the look a like, it fit all of them fine.

Maybe that 12 string headstock added 1/2"?

I contacted the manufacturer, and told them about it. They weren't aware. I have two other NON Fender guitars, that don't fit, The Fender I do have Fits.
Ironically after Market cases fit both, the genuine Fender tweed case, ONLY FITS FENDER. 1/2" come on fender give me break.
