That guitar looks very interesting in many ways. What are those pups? The leather on the back side is amazing!

Really cool! However, despite what the appraiser said, I don't think Paul Bigsby had anything to do with it; it doesn't resemble anything I've ever seen that Bigsby did. More of a Fender influence than anything, although it's definitely not a Fender either. I'm not so sure that the necks didn't come off Fender instruments, the mandolin neck looks a lot like a Fender--but those parts wouldn't have been available separately in the 1950's, so if they're Fender parts, they'd have to have been scavenged off of a Fender guitar and mandolin.
Does Deke Dickerson know about this thing?
