It occurred to me that the Mosrite guitar was always in the hands of musicians when great changes were happening. First in the dawn of the electric guitar all the most accomplished guitarist were using Mosrite, (Maphis etc.) then the architects of the surf movement the Ventures were wielding the famous shape. Iron Butterfly the first platinum selling group, more responsible for bringing the Acid rock/Underground rock
sound to pimple faced kids all over the country then some of their more famous brethren, were taking fans on a 17:05 trip via Mosrite airlines. New York mid 70's
dirty club in the Bowery a Mosrite defines the sound of the punk revolution. New Wave
pioneers B-52's Mosrite front and center in the mix. No mosrite's were seen in the hair metal late 80's for good reason, those guys just weren't hip enough to own one!
Heavy Metal? (check Iron Butterfly). The grunge explosion Seattle 1991 Kurt's most prized axe and song writing tool, Mosrite/Gospel. Now we wait in a post grunge wasteland waiting for the next big change, rest assured the Mosrite will be there. inspiring the next innovators with its innovative style and design.

At the time Semie had no idea what he had started. From a small one man shop to a major production, back to one man shop. But all the while that unique shape body and neck along with that mystic twin pickup sound was embedding itself into the hearts and minds of musicians then and now. Great overview Brutus.

Mosrite's Forever!
