Ralph Mooney, one of the greatest steel guitarists ever passed on March 11. If we have any country music fans or Buck Owens fans out there I'm sure you know of Ralph Mooney. He played on so many of the classic country hits over the last 40 years. He was the Chet Atkins of steel guitar.

Rest in peace Ralph Mooney.

Ralph's playin' constitutes a significant portion of Buck Owens' signature sound that I find so very attractive, together with the Buckaroos. Sad news, RIP Ralph.

Thanks fore posting that Terry, I hadn't heard that. You are right, he was among the best on steel guitar.
