computer monitor flashing.....

A while back I had a monitor die with a loud pop and a puff of smoke! It was really cool, except for the having to buy a new monitor part.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions........I tried everything and we pretty much resigned to the fact that we were going to have to buy a new computer, when miraculously the flashing just stopped yesterday, lol. So far, so good.......

And just when ya thought it was cured.........yep, I should have known...the flashing came back after 2 days of not flashing......pretty sure it's not the monitor....and the rep at the computer store said it could be the video card, and if it is, we might as well get a new computer......lol.........thanks again for the suggestions......

Here's another suggestion Roger; before you decide get a new computer, give the old one a kick or two, wearing heavy duty boots of course LOL...you never know, besides, you've got nothing to lose Good luck anyway.
