Re:Quoting with photo's

Often times you will find that a member will quote someone's post that contains photo's, then later see that the post has been altered and only the link to the photo remains. This is done by me when the quotes with photographs are on the same page. It serves no purpose to have multiple topics depicting the same photo on the same page and actually clutters the page taking up unnecessary space. When the topic continues over onto the next page, it's fine for one person to carry the photo over within a quote containing the photo from the previous page. That way the reader doesn't have to jump back and forth between pages to follow the flow of conversation when referring to a photo. So please, if a poster makes a topic that includes a photo of a cool looking guitar and you want to add a topic to tell him how cool his guitar looks, edited out the [IMG] brackets of the photo if you are going to quote topic. On another note, I've expanded the time for members to edit their post from 30 minutes to 60.

That's a great idea and keeping the website tidy is a great move. We'll call you the Felix Unger of the web world. ;) Is there a cap on how much time we can have to edit a post? Is 60 minutes tops? Being a blonde I would love to have at least 24 hours to remove my foot from my mouth. It could take me that long to notice I did it!

BTT.........................................................................................

Everyone please read. If you don't understand please ask for help. However, the simple explanation is,

PLEASE.... quit quoting someone who has posted a photo by reposting the same photo again on the same page with your quote.

Guilty as charged... Thanks for the pointer...I too sometimes require extra time to realize I should edit my posts...I must be getting used to the taste of shoe leather because I often don't notice a gaffe until it's too late!
