NYC Street Performer with nice guitar

Postby Edward Lopez » Sun Nov 20, 2011 11:42 pm

This street performer's name is Andrea Wright. I took her photo yesterday, Nov. 20, on Columbus Ave., NYC, during the Green Market display where farmers from nearby areas bring their homegrown wares to sell on a 4-block long area.

If this meets with approval I can continue to feature other street performers.

Cool guitar. Thank goodness it was unseasonably warm in NYC today (I heard from my dad it was in the 60s!)

It's still in the '60s! Yesterday I rode down 5th Avenue on the bus and the view of Central Park was fabulous as it is still showing fall colors. When the bus got to the Plaza Hotel and as far as Rockefeller Center it was a mind-blowing scene with millions of apparent visitors crowding the sidewalks as if it was a normal summer day.

Perhaps I've walked past your dad!

Even more so when you are familiar with their repertoire and your pause to continue hearing them lengthens. A donation is de rigueur!

She has a very pleasant voice and seems to be at home with just her guitar or being backed by small and large groups. You can hear her at: http://www.myspace.com/andreawrightmusi ... e-58575667

Even though I took 12MP photos I wasn't able to make out her guitar name which looks like it starts with a P. If she returns to the Green Market I'll take a photo of the headstock and include it here.
