One of the greatest bass players ever. If anyone doesnt know his work, you have heard it, tons of stax recordings w Booker T and the MGs. Or checkout the Blues Brothers movie , (hes the guy smoking the pipe)

The entertainment industry has lost one of it's greatest contributors. Dunn was also a seasoned session cat, playing with many artists across different genres. Very tight and groovy bassist. He will be sorely missed.
How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?

Huge thanks to Donald "Duck" Dunn for being one of THE pioneers of electric bass and for many, many, many great recordings.

He always looks so cool, so un-rushed, so hip in every photp. No need for that maan to hop around and wear makeup, goofy clothes...Duck was THE REAL THING as a musician.
