Way off topic -- Hot beer

Postby Haole Jim » Fri Nov 29, 2013 4:12 pm

So, it's approaching winter in metro Chicago, which often means colder than a three day old penguin turd.

There is however, a minor glimmer of hope for survival; some folks are talking bout the "hot beer" revival. Cinnamon, cloves, brown sugar, orange and apple peel, ginger, are some of the additives and flavourings being mentioned.

Mulled hot barley pop drinks have been around since the Dark Ages at least, however the advent of modern refrigeration and trend for "lite" sllightly beer-flavoured water has made them all but extinct.

With breweries like Leinenkugel and Sam Adams producing top quality fruit beers and Young's with the super-fine Double Chocolate Stout and the cold months upon us...

...any of you Mosriters in e- populace thinking on or already on the hot beer beverage metaphorical bandwagon, at least until it gets warm, again?

BTW, remember and repeat aloud, the auld sage, "NO MATTER HOW THIRSTY YOU ARE, YOUR AMP IS NEVER A COASTER."
