A car buddy of mine told me that George Barris has passed away earlier this month. The '66 Batmobile has always been one of my bucket list cars, and always thought it was cool that he collaborated with Bob @ Hallmark to make the Wing-Bat, Dragula, Barris Crest guitars (think I missed one other).
RIP George.

Re: George Barris' passing
Pleasant memories of Mr Barris are from ancient car mags and a couple shows; 'never met the atriste' in person. Such imagination and multiple skills! Admirable, for sure.
In this opinion, the world is a bit of a sadder place when an artist who brought joy to many people, passes on...though The Next Realm likely throws them a grande entrance party' and high fives and salutes' are prolific for a life well-lived.
Mr Barris, if he was a Guess Who fan, may have said, while transitioning, "...On my way to better things....!"
