I find it amusing how they only ever post in the Off Topic section as of late. At least these spam bots we've been getting are courteous to post there. :P

Eduardo Aguilu wrote:Cut the bs. You're trying to make yourself look important. We're all equal here. Your comments about your posting record is not presently supported, you're blowin' your own horn. I didn't apologize to you and you are not the forum's spokeperson, dubtrub is. But you did good by apologizing as your act was immature. And stick to the truth, you misspoke. Enuf said.

For what it's worth, in my time here, I recognize Panther as a regular contributor. I've seen his posts and "know" of him as a regular contributing member....if nothing else, I know that avatar when I skim through threads.

I can't say the same for you. Besides you calling out a consistent member, I can't recall anything from you. So there's that. So maybe you leave it alone.

As for the rest, I still visit this forum pretty frequently even though I have little to offer. I'm no Mosrite specialist. I don't even have a Mosrite. I wish I did, but I don't. I'm still a fan though. I have a Hallmark 60 Custom, so I'm sort of in the family and that's good enough for me. In fact, compared to the actual Mosrites I've handled in person, I prefer the Hallmark.

The bigger issues are that forums in general are a dying format across the board and Mosrites are a niche market that relatively few guitarists know about and which even fewer participate. Up and coming youngsters don't know what Mosrites are, don't know anyone new that plays them, and couldn't afford one anyway. I mean honestly, who are the real fans of Mosrites? Surf and country old timers and a Ramones-centric sliver of punk rockers. That's not enough to sustain a forum or a brand.

I got angry, I admit that. I just don't understand why someone that loves Mosrite and what it stands for would come here to the only forum dedicated to Mosrite, and then tell us how bad it is.
I want to apologize to the forum, and to Eduardo.
However I want to add one more thing, Like I mentioned since I joined 7 years ago, my posting average has been once every 3.4 days. Eduardo, your average in the 15 months you have been a member, is once every 7.2 days. Twice a week for me, once a week for you.
SO Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah Naaaaa.

I've been a member for 10 years. I started out as Bob Dillion, to honor Bob Bogle and Dillion who made a beautiful copy of the Mosrite bass. I changed my name to my real name, Edward Lopez. One day I had difficulty login in so I started anew with Eduardo Aguilu using my maternal last name. I have posted hundreds of time. A few years ago I bought a Mosrite bass from dubtrub. Look up my posts.

My longevity here is no reason to be hostile by you or insult me. That's not the way to behave with any member, new or old. I relied on facts. I wasn't hostile in my original post, it was just an observation which is vouched by:

I wouldn't say this place is dead, just not as active as it once was."

Amen. I wouldn't use the word active. So I said the same thing more truthfully. And now you are all getting your panties up in a bunch. Remember, 10 years! I do not need to apologize but some of you do.

Lol. I'm absolutely not apologizing for anything. In fact, you can kiss my butt. I'm not apologizing for that either. Ever. Thanks.

Now, with that out of the way, I still stand by what I said. You called out a dude that is pretty regular. Why exactly? He's recognizable in here, while you, under whichever name you can remember to use, are not. That's all.

You might like gawking at a highway accident as well, but I find this odious behavior disgusting. I have better ways to spend my time. Goodbye.

You got to be kidding! "...pretty regular."? A search for panther turns up 46 posts. A search of the Board index returns this::

You don't know what your words mean and now you've singled yourself out as an anal cavity. Give it a rest and move on to better things.

Lol. He has 700-something posts. Look under his dog avatar, dummy.

Anyway, if you ever figure this stuff out, like how to use the same username and how to save log-in details and how to see how many posts someone has, then you can get back to me. Until then, stfu. We're done here.

Y'know, I'm not gonna be a judge but I had, uh, discussions like this in the past (not on here) and I never got traction with them.

Panther does have 700+ posts.

Eduardo, was it a 72 you bought from Danny? I may have found the post (it's the first link below) but it seems your screen name was Edward Lopez instead of Bob Dillion.

Introduction post for the earlier account, Edward Lopez (this account's first post was in 2010 and its last post was in 2014: )
