I'll give it a virtual paint job, and see how it looks.
The truss rod has a straight shot with a channel long enough for easy access to the nut, I was a little concerned but it's fine.

Today I finally received the items I needed to continue with the body.
I also needed a neck plate and made one this evening. It's Stainless steel, and needs final buffing.
I ordered the Stewart MacDonald book on finishing a guitar step by step. It's not very organized, and a few questions I feel are critical, are not addressed. Somewhat disappointed, hardly any photos and at $38.00 including shipping I would NOT recommend it.
