Is it possible to replace a Vibramute style bridge with a Hallmark bridge? The bridge on the Vibramute attaches to the tremolo plate so I wasn't sure if it was possible to do that swap.

Yes it is a direct swap. I also have NOS Mosrite bridges too. You may rather have one of those. They are tight with no loose saddles etc.

Best, Bob

Thanks Bob. I am an idiot and meant the tremolo. Your trem and bridge are 2 pieces vs 1.

Oh, well why do you need to change the trem out, if you don't mind me asking?

I have a Mosrite reissue that has a cheap Vibramute style tremolo. I was looking to replace it with a Mosrite tremolo but those seem to be scarce or super expensive. I would be happy with a reissue Mosrtite tremolo but those are just as scarce. The Hallmark tremolo has an extremely good reputation as being high quality.

Ok, now I get it. Yes the Hallmark trem would deliver the quality you are looking for. What you could do, is make a pattern of the full plate trem. Then make a piece of plastic to go around the Hallmark trem to cover the existing holes and make it look more vintage. Semie did this sort of thing all the time. It can look really cool. Look at our 59 Custom and you will see what I mean.
