Here we go, just released our very first abum called "World Stood Still". We recorded it here, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Mixed by Vlad Avy on Chibi Pro Studios, Toronto, Canada.

Guitars used during the record:
- 1990s Mosrite Japan Mark I
- 1960s Morales Japan Mosrite MkI Copy
- 1977 MusicMan Sabre II
- 1998 Fender Japan Mustang
- couple 1990 Greco LP Custom copies
- 20 bucks acoustic log

Download it for free in MP3/FLAC from our official site http://venusveins.com/ or listen online on Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/venusveins or Last.fm: http://www.lastfm.ru/music/Venus+Veins

P.S.: Sorry for our broken English, but we think it's the only way to rock hard!!=)

Wow! Man, this is just not my cup of tea as there is no musical merit and I hate to see a Mosrite guitar being used in such a down situation. :o I know that you are not the only one to feature a Mosrite in non-musical shows as Nirvana and the Ramones featured Mosrites or Mosrite look-alikes to assault their audiences. But Venus Veins - Weenie Beenie (Foo Fighters cover, live) is just not listenable by those who appreciate melodious and harmonious music. :x What you produce is noise.

But like everything in this world you have your audience and you could have used a plank of wood with strings and nothing would have been different. :(

Use that Mosrite to create listenable music, PLEASE! Semie is turning over in his grave!

I sincerely hope that comment was meant to be over the top in a comic sense.

Personally, I don't care for the style of music the Venus Veins perform, but I can appreciate that they do it well. Let's remember to be courteous to each other and respectful of our artistic differences.

FWIW, I think the Mosrite/Marshall combo is appropriate for the music and has a solid aggressive chunk.

Congratulations on the new CD!

Diverse instrument the Mosrite be! Good head banging music. I do prefer a more classic tone only 'cause I don't have the energy. Congrats!

Ripping on Johnny? Blasphemy in the worst sense. Johnny Ramone probably did more than anyone since 1974 to promote the Mosrite name, the Ventures gave them up decades ago. People all over the world, and this forum, got one or want one because of him. Take a chill pill please :D

Haven't listened to Venus Veins, so no comment. But if you hate it that much, I just might like it. Have a nice day!

Ok, I checked them out, "In a Dolls House". Probably not going to run out and buy it but, sounds good to me.

Now Mike Wilson has to post some recordings, some from when he hated his parents, and some from when he became Ward Cleaver.

Venus Veins can be the judge on whether or not they both suck

Congratulations MikeWilson, on your first album. It sounds very professional and I wish you all the best with it's success. It's always exciting to get your music out to the public. Don't take any negative comments personal as everyone has their own opinion as to what is or is not music. Here in America there is an old saying about opinions, "Opinions are like arse holes, everyone has one, and some people are one". Any professional musician can appreciate your efforts whether they like the genre or not. I cannot speak or write Russian so I hope my English message gets interpreted by you in a positive way.

Now to everyone reading this, I must apologize for my succinct post but sometimes I simply cannot refrain and hope this topic doesn't become a pi$$ing match requiring it to be locked.

Oh, thank you guyz!

As for me, I always tried not to react on any critic review like the bull on red blanket. Everyone has his own right to hate anything or anyone, but please, Ed, tell me what kind of music do you like? I think, it's better know it to not post info about our album to a forum of your FAV's by a mistake. Really afraid to die of cancer caused by hatred))

By the way, about Weenie Beenie: Ed, you better write a message to Dave Grohl and ask him to stop writing unlistenable noise songs and selling out tickets to Wembley Stadium.

P.S.: VENTURES stopped to play Mosrites and switched to Fender and Aria because they recognized: Mosrite is for guitar players with BALLS only (why do you think, Johnny Ramone always stood with his legs wide and what he tried to hide with the guitar, hanging much lower than torso?)!!! ;)
