Re: Impedance matching

Finally got around to tidying up the studio (area of the lounge and kitchen).
The impedance matcher works exactly as expected.
My iso-cab's bugs are all worked out and I'm able to get decent sound onto my compute.

I A/B'd the line out and cabinets into my mixer.
Obviously the Mic'd cab sounds much nicer than the line out, but isn't that always the way?

The line out is ok on cleans, but gets pretty fizzy on more driven tones.
I've found that the sweet spot for this combination of gear is between 3 and 4 on the Princeton Reverb and about 7 o'clock on the Valve Jr.
This balances the flaws in the box with the right amount of break up on the amp.
On maximum it all functions perfectly well, though the low end rattles the kitchen items.
