First practice with the 60 Custom

Postby TriflerShawn » Sat May 18, 2013 9:51 am

..so, I brought my 60 Custom to practice last night. Our drummer and bass player were in awe of the paint, and general looks of the guitar.
We got on down to business. MAN.....it sounds great. Clean, it has a killer clean tone. Nice twangy bass, really present highs. It reminds me of
a Telecaster with slightly lower bass response, and less piercing highs. The in-between position reminds me of my Gretsch Duo Jet. NICE!
Winding up the gain a bit really brings out the character of the pickups. What I love about the pickups is the fact that you can dig in and have
a nice grinding tone, but play a bit softer and they clean up well. So cool.
All in all, the 60 Custom is an extremely versatile guitar. EVERYONE on the planet should own one!
