Yes, I bought it two weeks ago.

It has metal nut. What make you think that this Hallmark look like one from first run?

Veenture,

your sunburst make me think did I choose right :)

The first-run Hallmarks 60 Customs had a black headstock overlay - later versions have a matching headstock (to body color)

Welcome to the Forum Flajer and hello Veenture!!!

Yup, me too...I want one of each color and white was my second choice. However, I wanted to try something very different with this guitar so I went with sunset sparkle...and Bob told me that I nabbed the last one of the current batch! Since my Hallmark's arrival a few weeks ago I haven't touched my favorite Strat...which is very out of character for me after playing mostly Strat's for the past 40 years! This is one of the coolest guitars I've ever owned and, for better or worse, I'm finding that it's bringing out different things in my playing...and I'm starting to now hear sort of a Nokie influence. Now, if I could just muster up some Nokie talent ;).

I tought that those matching headstocks are some kind of limited edition stuff. For Japan market or so...

Price is a little bit higher in Japan.

According to my taste the pearl white H60C is much more attractive with a black headstock. Good thing to know that both versions are out there. Thank goodness we don't have to go to Japan for our Halllmark guys and that goes for the legitimate Mosrite too, thanks to Dana Moseley and Front Porch Music. Zero in Holland

No - the matching headstocks are standard fare on the later editions.

Ahh, ...oh well, that gives me an excuse to wait a while in getting the pearl of my fancy. A later run perhaps?

Thanks Dennis

...if it does, I'm wondering what the body contour will look like. I'm thinking about that reversed Strat idea that Semie was working on late '61 or early '62 (?) which eventually ended up in getting branded the name "The Ventures model".

Mmm...Hallmark 59 Custom? If it's Bob's intention to apply the Ventures model contour, the description "59" in the name would make it confusing (see the discussions and revelations that came out them, at the ELAINE FRIZZELL thread).

A more appropriate name perhaps could be "SJ Custom" (SJ = side jack).
