Hey, GattonFan--

Holy Moses, what a combo!!!

Is this the classiest bunch of guitar players on the Web OR WHAT?!?!??!

Oh, I also saw a pearl-white 60 Custom today for the first time. I didn't realize that it has the sparkles in the paint.

It was a beauty! I had admired the photos but never suspected how nice that guitar looks in person. And the tortoiseshell pickguard just really sets it off to perfection.

Thanks! I have one of the 60 Custom Pearl Whites ... a super nice guitar, and yeah, it has the sparkles.

Thanks to a very good friend who arranged the sale of one of my seldom-used guitars, I now am the owner of a Hallmark 60 Custom in Fire Sparkle Burst. Gee whiz, is this thing beautiful and does it play well!!!

I will probably post a review in more detail in a few days, but for right now all I want to do is play it and look at it.

My 24-year-old son, also a guitar player, said, "Gee, Dad; with that guitar's finish, you should have kept that old red rolled-and-pleated Kustom amp you used to have! It would have been a beautiful combination."

Hmmm . . .

Hey Jim,

Congratulations on your new Custom 60. You should have started a new threat as this is getting buried after 33 pages. Put up some pics and start a new topic, I'm sure we'd all like to see some personally owned Hallmarks rather than having to refer to the website when trying to figure out what each member has. ;)

Come on, No replies for a month? Anyway, I'm thinking of ordering a Hallmark. However, I want to get mine in a cool custom finish. I'm divided between either getting a 60 Custom or a II model, I think I'm leaning more towards a 60 Custom though. So don't be surprised if you see me with a nice Hallmark.

I've had mine over a year now, and I still love it. The large body looks a little silly on my frame, but it's surprisingly light for it's size. Wouldn't mind getting one of the Mk IIs, but I just dropped my "fun" money on a 60s Epiphone Wilshire. Now I can really pretend to be Fred "Sonic" Smith...

I think if you really want to be Fred you need to contact Roger Daguet, rockaction on here, and have him make you a Crestwood Deluxe. With the Wilshire you can only pretend to be Wayne Kramer, as if that's a crime. I'd love to see a picture of the Wilshire. What color did you get? I love those things.
