Cool Marky! Love the sound you guys have, prob the closest to the Ramones I've heard over the years but with added "whoomph!!". So sad to hear the Tommy Ramone is no longer with us :(

My little experiment putting the DiMarzio Super D humbucker into the bridge of the 60C worked out... so-so! As I kinda thought, the sound is kinda "muffled" as the output is slightly muted under a plastic cover. Was worth a shot :D I guess coulda put in without the plastic cover but looked a bit odd in the cavity.

So I've decided to tinker a little more and give Hallmark's new humbuckers a go - but I've asked Bob if its possible to have it with ceramic mag / wound to try and match the "Fat Pig". Will let you all know how I get on :D

By the way, I do love the sound of the original pickup in the 60C, just for the type of music we play (high gain, heavy / bottom-endy & low mids) it wasn't quite cutting through for me. Otherwise perfect though in case anyone thinks I'm putting them down!!!

:D

I just got back into town and had a very slightly used orange crate custom 60 waiting on me.

I'll post an ngd after I read up on the photo instructions.

Hi, I am new to the Mosrite Forum and I am the proud owner of a new Hallmark 60 Custom in Red, Silver, Blue Sparkle. It is a wonderful guitar.

Can someone fill me in on why the locked tremolo ? Wouldn't a fixed tailpiece be correct, or is it a copy of another ?

That is a very cool Red Silver and Blue 60C! We must have painted the headstock special for you. I think I remember doing that. It was a good while ago.

Very nice, and thanks! Bob

Hi Bob, yeah, that would have been 2008, you hadn't released a R/W/B version at the time, you did a special paint job for me, and per my request did the headstock in R/W/B also...and added the moniker "Maverick Californian" on the headstock, my nod to Semie. I must say you were very professional and gladly did whatever request I had. It wasn't long after that, I asked about doing a tribute to the '66 Batmobile by painting a black with red pinstriping Sweptwing. Within minutes you sent me a photo of your Wing-Bat prototype in progress, painted body/neck with no hardware or electronics. I immediatley put aside money for my Wing-Bat!
You're the best!

Speaking of the Wingbat - any production of these on the horizon, Bob?
