Hallmark Vibrato

Apologies if this is too obvious...

Is the Hallmark vibrato designed to be able to both raise and lower pitch, or lower only? I ask because in all of the youtube demos I have watched, i think I have only seen it used to detune. It seems to return to pitch very well but with the zero fret and roller bridge that could be the case when raising pitch also. So, does it float or does it act like a decked strat vibrato? Does it have to float?

Thanks for entertaining the newbie question!

The Hallmark vibrato can be pulled up as well as depressed. Just keep in mind you must stretch your strings first so all of the slack is out of them or it will pull them out of tune.

The bridge floats...........it is balanced and the rollers do their work. It is a buttery vibrato that returns to pitch. Thank you for the interest!
