New to Forum~ Help !!

Postby hotred79 » Fri Jun 11, 2010 6:50 pm

Hi All ! I was directed to you folks while looking for Mosrite info. i happened upon an estate sale where I purchased a lovely little acoustic guitar from an elderly lady who had bought it for one of her children back in the 60's. I had never heard of Mosrite before & started looking around online; all I could find was information about the electrics.
So here's my question: where can I find info about this guitar? Style number is #401 and serial number is FB 8025. It is a small body guitar, slanted headstock, Kluson Deluxe tuners, blonde wood, very pretty ! I tuned it up and it sounds great !
Wondering if I can get some history on it. supposedly it was made in 1964, purchased in a store in St. Pete, FL called Sanborn's House of Music. That's all I know !@
Any idea of value?
If I can figure out how, I'll upload a picture.
Thanks in advance for all your help !

I wish I knew more about the acoustics. It sounds like a Serenade but I'm not sure at all. Can you post pictures?

Where did you find that Mel! It's pretty cool. Looks like they used Lefties for the photos.

Hey Sarah, look closely at the Headstock Badge. The PIX are inside out (backwards). And no, Mel did not do that (LOL), it is EXACTly like that in the catalog  .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.
