Hello to the fine folks at mosriteforum.com.
I be J i m m y from Maine, an amateur luthier and guitar...tramp.
I'm one of those guys that finds himself saying, "I absolutely need this guitar" and impulsively buys it. The honeymoon lasts about two weeks and then I sell her off to get something else.
I'm no Mosrite owner but I am a great admirer. I'm planning a couple of Mosrite-flavored builds and I've already gained a wealth of knowledge from this site.
As for gear, I like everything. I just sold a Schecter SheDevil and a '69 Mustang reissue to buy some luthier supplies and what I believe to be a very butchered '76 Mustang (it was advertised as a '73). While I have generally been a Fender guy (Jags and 'stangs mostly) I've had a love affair with more wild guitars, particularly the Iceman. If it has strings, I'll play it. No brand snobbery here.
It's a pleasure to be here and I hope that I can contribute in some way. If not, I'll just look at the purdy pitchers.
EDIT: Would anyone be willing to impart some tips on creating my avatar? I've never had this trouble on other forums. Everytime I shrink the photo down to the appropriate pixel count it ends up exceeding the 6kb limit.
