Welcome Dr. Bill! I'm so happy to see you made your way to the forum. If you have trouble posting pics of 'Ol Red' I'll be happy to post them for you. One of these days I will make it to Nashville and would love to photograph my prototype alongside your prototype. That would be an awesome picture!

Re: Dr. Bill Hudson - FINALLY Joining Forum
1st OFF - thank you to all the Mosrite Folk welcoming me with open arms... I do have a BUNCH of "tales" relating to both how I met Semie and this guitar... This has been quite a "journey"... As to the humbuckers... I was giggin in and around the Colorado Springs Colorado area in the 70's when Gene Moles and I were communicating about "stuff"... Gene told me about a "new wind" Semie was "working out" for his humbuckers and asked if I would "try a pair" - being of moderate intellegence I immediately uttered an emphatic "YES"... Gene got my address and a week later a pair of humbuckers and a new "control plate" showed up in the mail... Gene and I discussed how to wire the individual coils to a triple throw double pole (TTDP) switch to create a "COIL" selector for EACH pickup and a double throw double pole (DTDP) for a "polarity reverse" for one pickup (either would be OK but he choose the bridge pickup)... All of this was BEFORE the normal pickup Selector Switch... I installed this "assembly" the next day and this guitar has remained this way ever since... There is a LONG tale about this ole gal BUT the bottom line is this axe has been "fully" restored to it's 70's configuration. But suffice it to say this has been a MULTI-CONTINENT endeavor involving E.F. Elliot, Tim of TYMs Guitars in Brisbane, Andy Mosley and Dan Blume... I have to say that I NEVER in my wildest dreams believed that this guitar would EVER be in this shape AGAIN - but here she is in all her glory - occasionally I look over at this ole gal and shed a tear of joy!

Wow! Fantastic stories, and best of all, your history of that Celebrity. Many of us have stories of our first guitar, and some like myself, still have them. They are like old friends, and members of the family.

Welcome Dr.Bill!
That Celebrity is a beaut!
Are the little yellow, green and red switches on the pickguard for coil split and phase/polarity?
Look forward to hearing more 'history' when you have the chance.
