Old timer first timer to Mosrite

Postby ron » Sat May 19, 2012 9:40 am

After 59 years I might have got it right, having found the delight of owning a 12 string Mosrite...............shame I never learned to play.

Welcome, Ron!
Believe me, it's never too late. Especially with a Mosrite!

John [mrmomo] stole the words (Mos)rite out of my mouth, Ron. Welcome to the forum. ;)
Is it a Sunburst?

Thanks for the welcome, Jim, John and Veenture. I missed out on a Sunburst here in the UK so opted to get a 1966/7 black bodied one from the US, it's presently going through Customs. However, I'm off to pick up a Blues Bender, from the Sunburst seller, tomorrow. All three were on eBay this last month - so there are pics up there.

Hang in there, Ron while you're waiting for its arrival. I know what you must be feeling right now, I've been there a few times myself.
Hope that dreaded Customs bill doesn't clobber you too hard :?

Hi Veenture,

Yes, I've done my research and budgeted for Mr Bill Nasty of the Customs Band. I can spend my time tinkering with this topping Blues Bender and listening to the +60's band - great links.

Cheers Ron.

Why thank you Ron, at least we sound a lot better than the "Customs Band"

Welcome! It seems that with music, you never stop learning...just start, and go from there!
