Hello from Toronto!

Postby wimpy27 » Fri Feb 10, 2017 4:50 pm

Hi, I'm a new member here. Actually, I'm a huge Mosrite fan for year, but it's my wife the one that does have one.

We moved from Brazil to Canada last year and we had to remove the neck from the body of her Mosrite (moving to a different hemisphere needs all kinds of sacrifices) and the screws got lost, so a friend (Joe King, from The Queers) suggested coming here to meet a lot of Mosrite fans and someone might be able to help us!

Soooooooooooo, here I am! Hope to help other people anyway I can too!

Welcome to the forum.

It would help to know the model that you have. Can you post some photos? Do you have any of the screws?

Thanks, Sarah!

It's the Mark II, similar to the one that Johnny Ramone used to have!

Sadly the bag with the screws got lost, I'll be posting the photos of the guitar in the "parts & accessories" part of the forum, I don't want to create a mess here!

Welcome and glad to hear from others in Toronto!

Based on the photos of your MKII, I'm guessing we share similar musical preferences ... I own a Hallmark Johnny Ramone.

As for the missing screws, have you tried local repair shops? I've had recent good experiences with Shyboy & Tex and the 12th Fret. Other shops I have not dealt with, but have heard good things about, are Paul's Boutique, Lil' Demon, and Junction Guitars. Good luck.
