Hello from Tulsa! New Old Guitar!

Hi folks! I am happy to find a great forum for Mosrite. Being new to this brand I look forward to learning more. Since I have never even played a Mosrite I thought I'd better start this on the cheap . Found a Japan made Avenger on Ebay from a dealer in Japan and it seems to be a good starting point (about $600). It was rough and needed some repair and TLC. It seems to be hard to find information about when these were made, whether they were part of Mosrite or Firstman. If I can figure out how to post an image here I will.It cleaned up and set up beautifully. Plays like a dream and the non-California pickups sound quite good. Since I got a pair of Dana Mosely Pickups last year I installed them instead. They are bright/deep and robust sounding on this body. I am very happy with it so far. I sure would appreciate any insights into this model.
After tinkering with some early Carvins and some of the vitage Italian made Vox, etc. I am even more impressed with Mosrites and clones.[img]avenger1[/img][img]avenger2[/img]
