Howdy

Postby Cranium » Fri May 20, 2022 10:41 am

Well... It's nice to finally be in!

Been a Mosrite fan since the early 90s when I worked at GC. Everybody else was into Les Pauls or the new Ernie Ball EVH guitars, I was the vintage nerd, and Mosrites were so friggin' cool! Doesn't hurt that the Ventures played them.

Last year I bought a Hallmark Deke II, and I recently got a Ranger that someone put an ill-fitting PCB pickguard and "Ventures Model" decal on. So, if anyone's got a Ranger pickguard, please let me know. :)

Welcome, Cranium. There's a lot of good info on here. The forum had a long dry spell, but there was a lot of activity from 2008 - 2012.

I oversee some serial number lists in the Vintage Instruments section. Max Katzenberger (maxkat) also has a site:

https://hang10.de/lists

- Austin
1966 Ventures II (German Carved, B670.)
1970s "Not a Blues Bender" Bodies: 2.
1976 Brass Rail Deluxe #10.
2013 Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI.

Welcome to the Forum! I,too, have a Hallmark Deke, in addition to 5 more Hallmarks. Great guitars! Deke used to weigh in occasionally here, and hopefully will do so again!
So many guitars; So little time ..

Gatton was a singularly gifted musician. And now almost forgotten.

Indeed. I'm hoping the "Humbler" movie gets finished and released.
