=9/27/64, which Danny and I agree is incorrect, with all the later Hardware on it. I also see a signature,9/27/xx
but I'm having trouble reading the other date as well. It does say July 9 XXXX. And, this is the
"Stamped Date" I was referring to. This is the actual date. Now, all we gotta do is figure out
what the heck that year says...

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Re: No serial number in 1964 ??
Oh, thank you very much for lots of info!
As far as I know, were those Kluson double-line tuners used on Fender Strats and Teles from 1965 to 1967. Is it possible, that these 12-string is also from that area?
The headstock looks like old nitro finish because of the crackles, so I don't think, that it is an newer Japanese one??!!

Hi there all you Mosrite freaks!
Today I saw, that here is a big discussion about our Mosrite 12-String.
I'm really not the big Mosrite specialist, so I read your postings very interested.
And darn you are right! I disassembled the neck again and cleaned the neck pocket
for better reading that ink-stamp, that I did not notice before. And it really looks like
JUN 21 1966 as far as I can see.
I replaced the pic from the neckpocket on our website - I might be not intelligent enough
to post a pic in this forum ?!?
I bought that guitar from an old musician who told me, that he played it since the late Sixties.
He bought it in a shop in Frankfurt/Germany (see the sticker on the back of headstock).
So I was shure that it is not a fake or something - only that pencil date I read wrong.
At first I reduced the age and the price of the guitar on our site
My question now: Are there any points that this guitar can be not from 1966?
Many thanks to all you Mosriders!!!

Looks like a '66 to me, though could be a little later but not much. From what I have learnt (from here!), sometimes neck/body stock sat around for a while (with the date already stanped) and ended up on later guitars but not decades!! The true telling of age is by the serial number, if its there...! Alternatively, check the pot date codes, that could also help solve the mystery...
Nice looking 12 string though...
