At Semie's little shop in 1959, there was a junk pile outside in the yard. In the pile I saw the remains of a stripped out guitar body and neck. I asked Semie what it was and he said it was the first guitar he ever built as a kid and was going to hang it over the door of his shop when he hit the 'big time' but threw it away instead. Probably feeling he was never going to hit the big time. This was not the guitar in question but proves that Semie didn't hang onto every experimental guitar he built. Now think about all the 'what if's'.

I just keep waiting for the day that Semie's triple-neck turns up, the one that was stolen from him in New Mexico in the 70's.

You know that if you live long enough, some day it will pop up on eBay.
