Hey Johnny, I'm so glad that you've started this thread because for one, you've succeeded in your cause as far as I'm concerned ...and please ...keep on 'rambling'!!!
I have certainly gained new knowlege from it! Perhaps I may yet be on my way in becoming a Mosrite expert now  ...even though I'm still at the crawling stage :D

Thank you!

Hey John or Adam, can you post a picture of one of those "glamorous" Mosrites? I don't think I've seen that before.

Also, did anyone notice the picture from the Jan 65 tour where Bob is playing guitar and Nokie is playing bass?
Oy vey - it's MESHUGGA BEACH PARTY - The world's premier Jewish Surf Music Band!

What? Couldn't tell the logo is a link? So click here, what's the hold up? http://www.meshuggabeachparty.com

Sharp eyes Mel; evidently Bob and Nokie have also changed places on stage as well...must be for The Ventures Medley [or "Bob's medley"] i.e. Walk-Don't Run, Lullaby Of The Leaves, Perfidia. ;)

Here is the carve on the 1964 "glamorous Mosrite" . Note the cover plate, large logo, and burst headstock. I believe there are some good shots in the Vintage Mosrite book, but I have to find mine.

Thanks Adam! :D

That is odd looking, but interesting. I really feel like I live in a cave when it comes to all things Mosrite. Would never have known about this if it weren't for this forum.

I'm sure any Ventures fan wil know the pics from the SUMMER '65 tour...I did find this interesting little fact about what happened to the pearl white topjacks used during said Summer '65 tour, see:

The Pearl White Mosrite Guitars used in this tour were given to Yuzo Kayama for his courtesy in January 1965 Japan tour.

I have a 1991 Booneville Ar. Mosrite Ventures with a similiar bottom horn carve/contour. It is different than my other 3 Mosrite Ventures. :ugeek:
