What is the deal? Ed roman is making Mosrites in Vegas does he own the rights? Or do these guys? I see Ed says there made in u.s.a. but in the photos of his "shop" they just look like they assemble them. plus his prices for parts are a joke a grand for a tremolo and bridge!! wait.. the spring is 24 bucks so add that in there, plus knobs go for 100. I just want to support the true owner of the Mosrite name I hope it is Semie's family. p.s. whats with Ed Roman's weirdo grudge against Gibson anyway?

The lady on the website is Loretta Moseley, she's Semie's widow. I hope they are bringing the real true Mosrite back. I am wondering about the prices though.

The way I've learned things around here regarding the history of Mosrites (originals, fakes, copies, Japanese reissues etc.) I'd say go vintage for a true Mosrite. Otherwise it'll always be something else. Not saying that you won't get an excellent guitar, though.

If you want to order one of Ed Elliot's custom made Mosrite clones, here are his requirements. Normally I wouldn't share a personal message from anyone, but I just about spewed my coffee all over my computer screen this morning when I read this.

HA! Actually, I inquired about pricing from Ed (and didn't have to give him my credit card number) I'll let him share specifics if he chooses, but I can say his prices are very reasonable for what he offers - in the range of production Fender Custom Shop guitars, and far less than Fender "Masterbuilt". Granted there is value in the brand name logo, but there's still something to be said for a hand made guitar built the way Semie used to do it instead of a factory guitar with the Mosrite logo.

Same here, Mel. Ed sent me quotes on his Mo-Clones and I thought they were in line for what they are. I did not expect low prices, after all, they're hand made. Because of how Ed makes them, I bet they sound and feel more authentic than anything else on the market.

Hello Kevin,
Thanks for your interest in Mosrite. We are happy to help you restore
your old guitar, and build you a new custom Mosrite. Regarding the parts,
send us a list of what you need, with pictures if you can, and we will be
happy to supply you with them. We can tell you all the costs of the parts
after we find out what you need. Regarding your custom Mosrite, after you
place your order, we will tell you the cost of the guitar. You can then
choose to continue with your purchase.
Best Regards
Client Administration Department.

Hey Kev,
I sent out an E-Mail request on parts replacement this morning, so
I'll be sharing this with everyone soon as I hear back from them. ;)
