Mosrite humbuckers all had pole pieces. I am not saying they never made humbuckers without them, but I have never seen them. I have many Mosrites that are said to be Humbuckers with no pole pieces, but in every case, they are single coil. If they exist, I would think they were on the Celebrity guitars from the early 70's as that was realistically the only time Semie made humbuckers for production guitars. The "New" Mosrite guitars from 1976 to 1978 were thought by some to be humbuckers with no pole pieces, but I can assure you, they are single coils. If anyone can post pictures of Humbucking Mosrite pickups with no pole pieces, I would love to see them with the guitars they are in so we can document this on the forum.

Thanks for your kind indulgence,
Mosriteforever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually you had a choice of either style, one with pole pieces and one without them. My '70 (71?) Celebrity I, has the Humbuckers without
the polepieces. Also, keep in mind, this was before Semie decided to incorporate the Humbuckers as an optional upgrade for customers
who preferred the Humbuckers over the Single Coil Setup ;) .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Not a new acquisition, unfortunately. Just pics to share from some correspondence.

I didn't think it was, Thanks for sharing pics though. Is that a phase switch I see near all the volume/tone controls?

Looks like an output jack to me. This guitar would predate the pushbutton switches.

Thats a rather odd place to put an output jack. Still, It could be one. Handbrake, Care to clear this up?

Actually, in the version of the Celebrity with the control plate that is precisely where the jack goes. What is throwing you off is the cluster of four knobs rather than the usual two.

I submit Exhibits A through D:

I can see it on Exhibit B. What an odd place for an output jack. Still, There must have been reason.
