12 string. I just don't recall seeing one on a 12 string.

Here's another shot of the 12 String with the Vibramute. It has just shown up as a Poster Ad on E-Bay....

I remember seeing Glen Campbell several times on the "Shindig" TV show back in the '60's playing that Mosrite 12. The '66 brochure description mentions the "stay-tuned" vibrato, but catalog descriptions from that time are notorious for using a lot of verbiage to say essentially nothing. Regarding 12-strings with vibratos, I bought a Vox Phantom XII new in '66 (first name-brand guitar I ever had), with a Bigsby-style vibrato on it. That thing wouldn't get in tune, much less stay there. As far as I'm concerned a vibrato has no place on a 12-string.

I heard from a friend that Glenn is using Mosrite again. He apparently has made a TV appearance recently using a Mosrite. Anyone out there know anything about it???? It would be great to see a High Profile Artist giving Mosrite some Over Due Modern Publicity. :D

I could argue otherwise, Stetsbar may be able to make a 12 string vibrato that works well considering how their vibratos are designed. I haven't played many 12 strings though so perhaps not.

Hey Simon, Thanks for the photos. I was wondering, Will the guitar stay in tune with use of the vibrato if the unwound strings are tinned? Tinning strings is simply the process of soldering the wraps near the ball end and I do it with all or nearly all of the strings I put on guitars whether they have tremolos or not since it extends the string life so much that I think it is silly not to.

Hi Austin, It stays in tune pretty well with vibrato, I usually use super bullet strings on Mosrites they seem to work good for me.
