In the mid sixties, Mosrite guitars were available in many standard colors i.e. red, black, blue, sunburst and white. They all had a heavy clear coat over the color coat. I'm not sure about an all cream or if it was an off white. But it would definitely turn a cream color over the years. In addition to standard colors there were also custom colors i.e. candy apple red, candy apple blue and pearl white.

The Ventures II and Mark V were considered an economy model and I would guess that they would all be in the standard color's unless special ordered with a custom finish. My memory fades, but I'm sure Artie would have the answer. Front Porch Music (661) 325-7161

I think I found the answer....go to Tymguitars, go to Page# 5,scroll to the bottom where it says 'Specifications.'
On the 2nd Page, look for Mark V; it shows that it is in Groups I and II for the Colors Chart. Go back to Page I.
There you will see Pearl White listed, but no other White finishes. I'm telling you (LOL), that little puppy is
screaming Pearl White underneath the oxidation that has built up over the years. You are gonna need to do
some light buffing to bring her back 'from the past.' The Pearl Whites were known to yellow out (mellow out?)
as they aged, and I think this is what you got Jason.
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Can you just post a link rather than try following that set of instructions.

Yeah Danny, I just wasn't sure of whom we can use for reference without their permission, or granted permission, or legally allowed anymore...
OK, this page shows the Mark V Listed in the Group Color Charts I and II.

There are two original un refinished Ventures II models for auction on eBay, one is solid white and the other is solid blue. I sent messgaes to the seller inquiring about the colors. The white is NOT pearl white and the blue is not metallic, candy apple or sparkle blue. It just goes to show that not everything you read on the internet is not the gospel. I don't understand the discrepancy with the brochures listing only those limited colors on Tim's website, but I was 99% certain they were not complete, at least for the mid sixties models.
