I think I see a Mosrite in amongst all those frills and ruffles.

Bill,
I was just checking the "Butterfly" Website. I ALWAYS thought it was spelled
like it was pronounced, just the way you spelled it. What's weird in Wikipedia
and other sites, it shows up as Erik Brann, which I don't recall. I guess I gotta
go dig up my older cousin's Album Cover!
On a side note and not to sound cold, but I wander if Erik's Widow (Gail) still
has his old Mosrites.....and "Super Beatle" Amps.....
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

On the albums he is listed as Erik Brann but I think his name was Erik Braun. Checkout that crazy chord he is playing.

LOL!! Yeah, I checked what we thought it was, and OH YEAH! it brings up Eric Braun, but not
the one we are talkin about! LOL! As a matter of fact, there's about 4 or 5 of them, a piano player, a Bass Player, and 2 or 3 others, but not the Lead Guitarist of "Iron Butterfly."........
Brutus, BTW, what the heck Chord, IS HE PLAYING?!?!?!?

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Adam, that's what had me confused!LOL! I couldn't tell if the second finger
was down for an Eb, or whether it was lifted for the Maj 7

Hey, it was hard enough for me to remember who he was, let alone his name!
Apparently his "real" name was Rick Davis. He took the stage name of Erik Brann when he joined Iron Butterfly. That being said, a lot of references to him list his last name as Braun or Braunn.
I guess the really interesting part is that he used a Mosrite to record all those heavy sounds and wild noises in the solo.
