1966 Mosrite Ventures model blue

This is my first Mosrite. I played this guitar in a music shoppe when I was 12 and bought it about ten years later. Its been with me for a long time now. I didnt beat it up, the previous owner(s) did.I know nothing about its past. It was missing the truss rod cover and the had the wrong knobs on it when I bought it. I found the right knobs on ebay, and made a truss cover.All I had laying around was red tortoise.Any-who, it may be sacrilege, but I changed out all of the hardware to stainless steel.I didnt know better at the time, but this was my main player for a long time.Well thats it!!

Thanks, Im not even gonna show you guys the back. Lets just say whoever played it wore a big belt buckle. The back looks like someone went crazy on it with a little hammer. I would refinish it if I didnt love the color so much.

Gosh-that guitar is right in style now. Manufacturers are now making them brand new and calling them "Relics" so you have the latest thing!

Yeah It seems that every stratocaster in the world is a hunded years old nowadays.It was one thing with Stevie Ray Vaughn because HE wore the paint off it by playing it everynight. I dont believe that to be true of all the "distressed" guitars that Ive seen John Mayer with. To each his own, but its silly to beat up a new guitar to make it appear "road worn". Fender has been doing this alot. But yeah, i guess that makes my Mosrite more hip.Now on the other hand I am a firm believer that as soon as you buy a new guitar you need to scratch it and get it over with. That first scratch is always so stressfull!!

I like anything that has a USED but not ABUSED look to it. I'll never own a guitar that I have to worry about every time I play it, no fun in that.
