Hey Brian....I love the color too and would like to know the name or name of an equal automotive color

Kevin,

If you're thinking about the blue that I used on my bass the color isn't really that close. The guitar looks like more of a solid color with a blue/green tint. The Duplicolor blue that I used is metallic and has some purple-ish tint in certain lights. The other blue that's available at the auto parts stores is even darker.

30 or 40 years of aging does funny things to paint also.

Is that the same blue that comes in the half gallon cans? I know sherwin Williams sells "production lacquer" which is nitro based and I think they have it in blue but I've never physically seen the blue so idk how dark or bright it is.

Mine is the BSP204 Deep Blue. It is sold in quart cans in my area. There are so many variations of paint that the owner of the guitar could take it to a paint supplier that has a color matching system to get the exact shade.

Oh man, that's about the perfect guitar for me! geez, they're just so attractive, why couldn't Semie have agreed, then made more. Amazing guitar Rocco, and I always called the color California Blue (probably wrong).

Thanks,
Eyan

What's the thickness of the guitar body from front to back? The pictures make it seem thin.

Does anyone have info about how thick one of the bodies is? It does look very thin.
