Judging by the lettering on the pickup covers, the spun knobs, rough cast vibrato plate, large screw heads on the neck plate and the lettering on the headstock I would say it is a '65. Sixty fours had smooth no lettering pickup covers and small head screws on neck plate. Sixty sixes had "M" knobs and the trussrod adjustment at the headstock.. Is there a serial number between the 21st and 22nd fret? Not sure of the year of the hard case. I'm only familiar with the red plush lined cases of the early sixties. The '72 I use to have had a gold lined case like in your photos.

Hi, I have looked for the serial number between the frets I couldn’t find one.

Here is a picture of the frets.

Is there another location were I can find the serial number?

Better take Bob's word for it. He's the expert on these matters. Darn good copy though.

It appears that parts of the tremolo, and the knobs have been replaced.

Definitely a Japanese repro. Roller bridge ends are way too rounded, top of rocker bar on trem too flat, PU housing are perfectly rectangular etc.
