Plus the tuners on Lisa's guitar are installed on the wrong sides. The tuning knobs should be in front (towards the headstock) of the tuning posts.

Ha! Good catch! Perhaps installed by the same person that (I think) put the pickup selector in upside down. It seems to activate the opposite pickup. Or is that "normal" on a Mosrite?

Waiting for my Amazon order of a magnifying glass to see if I can solve the serial number question!

I don't know for sure what the factory position is for the pickup selector switch on Mosrite models.

I have the one my 66 (which is missing half of its original parts) set so that Down is the Bridge Pup, and Up is the Neck Pup; just the same way as a Les Paul would have. This helps if I want to switch from one position from another mid-strum; and since I sometimes do that, the thread locker is a great help.

The switch should work as follows, forward is the neck pickup, middle is both p'ups and to the rear is the bridge p'up.

Best I can do with the serial number is either A0217 or A0617. Its pretty worn away.

Lisa,

I noticed a full set of Kluson tuners on ebay for BIN price of $49. That seems a good price for putting correct tuners on your guitar.
