Mosrite BG500 Restoration

Postby thunderhead » Mon Jun 29, 2009 6:28 pm

Hey Guys - I need a footswitch made for the Mosrite BG500 amp I recently picked up. Also the thing has been recovered very badly in some gray material. Anyone know where to get the same type of black tolex it came with. I don't think it is the same as Fender. I also need the side handle and the grill cloth logos,{ Award and The Ventures}. I know the logos will be tough, I bid one up over a $100.00 on ebay a few weeks ago but lost it in the last few seconds. I only have $250.00 in the amp and everything works except the reverb so I have some room for restoration. Any thoughts?????? Billy Crawford

I believe Vintage Soul undertook a similar restoration. This thread may be useful:

personally, I'd make color copies of the images on the auction, put them under some clear plexi and use that.
Oy vey - it's MESHUGGA BEACH PARTY - The world's premier Jewish Surf Music Band!

Anybody seen a chassis?
I bought one of these with no chassis a few years ago. the guy I got it from said he had put the chassis in the shop, then the guy went out of business, and took everybodys stuff that he had in for repair, and I was thinking that someday I can reunite them.
