With the model 200, we're up to six amp models. What was the Mosrite/Dumble tube amp model called? I searched all over the 'Net for contact info on Ed Sanner in Bakersfield. Nothing. Best I could do was write him c/o the new Hallmark Guitars.

Rocco, do you mean that Mr. D authenticated the Mosrite amp that the guy in Arizona had or the fact that he did build amps for Semie?

From March 2104 "Vintage Guitar Magazine" article on Ed Sanner, by Willie Moseley, "Though Mosrite was striving to market amps with its instruments, Sanner was asked to devise a fuzz tone. 'I came up with the circuit named Fuzzrite,' [Sanner] said. 'Mosrite amps came afterward. If you find a Mosrite amp with ‘Mosrite Electronics’ on the front, it’s my design. I didn’t work on the tube amps, that was Howard Dumble.”"

The fact that Dumble designed and built tube amps for Mosrite is a pretty well known fact. He was the first one to mention it in an interview. Ed Sanner's mention supports the story.

A few years ago, one of the members here was trying to find out if the Mosrite tube amp that he owned was one of the 10 that were made by Dumble. It was a very interesting looking amp. There were photos of the Ventures on stage with amps that looked like they were the same models.

I never heard if he was ever able to verify who built his amp. If Rocco has an update, I'd love to hear about it.

If you get no response from Hallmark, you can try contacting Artie at Front Porch Music in Bakersfield and see if he can get you into contact with Ed Sanner.

All right, I'm getting closer! This afternoon, Bob Shade from Hallmark sent me Ed Sanner's email address. I've written Ed so, hopefully, the answers are at hand!

I suppose a couple of them are. I have photos of examples of all of the above mentioned models and perhaps a couple more I'm not recalling at the moment. Maybe I should start another thread with model by model discussion. :D
