The many variations of Mosrite amplifiers

Postby Sarah93003 » Thu Jun 11, 2015 8:35 am

I thought it would be good to have a thread where all of the models of Mosrite amps could be seen and discussed. Basically a definitive resource where people can see photos of the various models, see the specifications, etc.

I'm guessing that no one really knows how many models were produced in production or as one-offs and I'm certain there are models out there yet to be discovered, by us. In my never ending quest to document ever surviving example of Mosrite Celebrities, I also collect photos and information of other Mosrite items that interest me. Amps are one of those items.

I've gone through all of my current resources and at this time I have collected photos and information on 14 distinct models, in six distinct categories, and three or four entities. This leads me to believe there are many more models yet to be rediscovered.

What I have:

The Ventures/Mosrite/Award BG series
.....BG-500
.....BG-1000

The Mosrite Electronics series
.....Model-200
.....Model-350
.....Model-400
.....Model-450
.....Model-450 Head
.....Model-600
.....Model-900
.....SS-550

Mosrite
.....Handwired Tube Amp

Moseley of California
.....Gospel Model-40g

Prototypes
.....Mosrite/Dumble
.....Ed Sanner

It will take some time but over the next few days I will post all of the photos and information I have collected so far. Hopefully if other folks have amps that are not listed they will be gracious enough to share so we can continue to learn. I would love to get dimensions and other details so we can compile specifications for each amp. :)

Hi Sarah93003,
I'm getting ready to publish an article on Mosrite amps on Reverb and would like to open a dialogue with you. Plus, I'd love to get some Mosrite amp images from you for the article. Have you ever done a composite image of Mosrite amps like you did with the Mosrite Celebrity guitars?
All the best, Chris Till

Hi Chris,

I've got a lot more pictures and descriptions of more models that I need to update this thread with. Time is always the issue. You can either pm me here, or email me directly at: sarah@MosriteCelebrity.com. I'll be happy to share my information with you.
