There's a lot of 'Fender characteristics' on it too; large fret markers, bone (plastic) nut, medium jumbo(?) frets, rectangular neckplate…

The little symbol at the rear of the headstock advising that the guitar should not be placed in a garbage can made me chuckle!!! ...imagine!!!

Tuscany clones certainly seem to ooze quality -and I find the photography on their website quite spectacular.

hey Paul, yeah the trash can on the back of the headstock made me laugh too. I wonder how much these cost???? these do seem to be pretty well made. But they should just come up with an original design if you ask me. Still, if these are made cheap enough, these definitely has a market for the beginner musician out there.

They put high-quality tuners on them. Tuners are always a selling-point for me. I like the Jazzmaster style guitars too, they look nice. Too bad nobody spends any time developing the electronics though. Everyone is using the same P-90 pickups these days. Not that P-90s are bad but it seems like they're becoming the magical answer to anything that had a soapbar-style pickup in it. In the past P-90s were associate more with classic rock and blues. Now it looks as though they're becoming synonymous with "surf" guitars. Really? Jazzmasters, Strats, and Mosrites were usually the surf (or straight instrumental) guitar of choice and none of them had P-90s. Neither did Jaguars or Teles. It just seems kinda silly that everyone is turning to the P-90 (or even the P-100) as the magical answer for a surf guitar.

In the 50s and 60s the pickups were one of the things that made guitars so unique. I enjoy seeing old Kays, Harmonys and the like with their own style pickups. Nowadays everything seems so cut and dry.

Agreed. With the exception of my mosrite HB's, I really like old epiphone minihumbuckers. they have a unique tone, and I liked using them in a band setting because the tone of those pickups stuck out.
